To celebrate the 4th of July – America’s Birthday – we took an American icon – Charlie Brown – and America’s favorite pastime – Baseball – and created the ultimate patriotic Tuesday Tribute. Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt are staple characters in American history and promote the American dream through Charlie’s permanent case of bad luck but endless determination. Lucy perpetuates Charlie’s un-success specifically through a recurring running gag. Although, Lucy is sometimes willing to help make Charlie Brown a better person by offering advice, whether he wants it or not. The spirit of America runs deep and is only enhanced through their involvement in baseball and of course, American made shoes!

Daria is a highly recognizable cartoon that was a spin-off from the Beavis and Butt-head series. The show focuses on a smart, cynical, somewhat misanthropic teenage girl who is in constant criticism of popular culture and social classes. The popularity and loyalty is largely specific to a certain generation and within, there is no mistaking the iconic style of Daria (as well as other characters.) Her uniform – which consist of a green army jacket, rusty-orange colored tank, school uniform skirt, round framed glasses and of course, the military lace-up boots – emphasizes her jaded persona. The perfect juxtaposition to the typical suburban American High School that got you thinking.
